Shandong Province is located in the eastern coastal area of China and is a major economic province in the country. Its industry and agriculture are highly developed, and the overall scale of the plastic industry ranks among the top in the country. Currently, relying on petrochemical enterprises such as Qilu Petrochemical, Qingdao Large Refinery, and Jinan Refinery, the downstream product industry in Shandong is relatively developed and holds a certain position in the domestic product industry. Among them, the production volume of plastic films, plastic pipes, profiles, and daily-use plastic products in Shandong Province accounts for a relatively high proportion of the total plastic products in the province, and they have developed rapidly. Due to Shandong being a major agricultural province in China, agricultural plastics play a dominant role in product production. As a province with rapid agricultural development, the demand for agricultural films and post-processing in Shandong has been increasing year by year. Currently, the sales volume of agricultural films ranks first. In recent years, Shandong has widely promoted the protection of vegetable planting and encouraged vegetable exports. Therefore, in addition to the original key areas for agricultural film usage such as Zibo, Liaocheng, and Linyi, a number of concentrated areas for agricultural film consumption have emerged, such as Shouguang, Yantai, and Laiyang. The Changle County in Weifang City is the largest plastic bag production and processing export base in the north of the Yangtze River. Its products are exported to 40 countries and regions across Europe, Africa, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Among the 300-plus varieties of the four major series of bags, pipes, membranes, and plates in the plastic industry in the county, the plastic bag series is the flagship product. In addition, the pipe material industry in Shandong region has also developed rapidly, accounting for about 10% of the national total output. Among them, there are approximately 100 plastic pipe enterprises in Weifang alone. The larger-scale ones mainly include: Weifang Shengda Pipe Industry (with an annual production capacity of about 30,000 tons), Weifang Weiliter Pipe Industry Co., Ltd. (with a 25,000-ton annual production capacity), and Weifang Hanwei Pipe Industry (with an annual production capacity of about 20,000 tons), etc. In the future, with the further development of the pipe material industry, its proportion is expected to increase further.
